With the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee just days away the whole city is revving up for a massive celebration.  On days like this, with sunshine and amazing blue skies, you can’t help but fall in love with London and its vibrant heritage.  Since March I’ve been running ongoing photography workshops for a fabulous group of ladies and together with them, five cameras and a very patient dog called Billy, we headed down to The Mall to take a look.

Today’s task: to shoot in manual, to learn about shutter, aperture and ISO and to understand the relationship between them.  Oh, and before any photos were taken, I asked everyone to cover their camera screens and work with just the in-camera exposure meters!  Quite a challenge!

Want to know more? I run bespoke 1-2-1 photography sessions and group workshops for people who’d like to learn the basics (and more) of creative digital photography with their DSLR cameras.  Drop me a line for more details, I’d love to hear from you.

The V&A: I’ll also be offering photography workshops at The V&A and the next sessions begin in late September, so please also keep an eye on their website if you’d like to join us!
